Why them?
Because they are the one single place on this whole entire planet that is the most singularly, most profoundly, most un-repentantly hell-bent on these things:
Science.
Curiosity.
Open, honest investigation of facts and evidence.
Stabbing their own biases repeatedly in the face and all the vital organs until the only thing left is the truth.
Decreasing world-suck.
