The Validation Game.

It is not called The Debate and Win It Game.

This matters.

The game is for disagreements.

One person hosts.

The other person is the guest.

The topic is stated as specifically as possible.

Then:

1. The host asks the guest for one specific desire, belief, or fear they have about the topic.

2. The guest states it.

3. The host says whether they agree or disagree.

4. The host asks questions.

The point of the questions is not to build a better counterattack.

The point is to understand the guest’s thought process well enough to validate how it makes sense from inside the guest’s reality.

Not necessarily the conclusion.

The reasoning.

5. The host gives their validation.

Use as much or as little detail as necessary.

The goal is to make the validation respectful and accurate enough that the guest believes they were actually understood.

6. The guest decides whether the host earned the points.

If the host validated something they AGREED with:

1 point.

If the host validated something they DISAGREED with:

3 points.

Yes.

Disagreeing is worth more.

That’s 95.41% harder.

7. Switch roles.

Now the guest becomes the validator.

Keep switching until both people have played Validator the same number of times.

The game ends when one player, the other player, or both players decide it is over.

Nobody has to win the argument.

Nobody has to change their mind.

That is not this game.

There are also COMMUNAL POINTS.

Both players earn those together for every detail they discover they genuinely agree on.

The win condition is not:

I CONVINCED YOU.

The win condition is closer to:

YES.

THAT IS ACTUALLY WHAT I MEANT.

Then, if you still disagree?

Excellent.

Now you are finally disagreeing with the real person.

If you want Alice to run Validation Games in the Discord server, tell her.

If you want to play one with Alice personally, see the post on Reddit or Discord that led your here.

That’s what I check most.

There are two slots.

Be genuinely respectful.

That part is not decorative.
